• Ideally have held positions with either Quality, Health & Safety or Environmental management system responsibility
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 management system standards, compliance, and auditing techniques
  • Qualified to Lead Auditor status
  • Be self-driven and motivated
  • Experience of leading and supporting projects

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ideally 2-3 years experience working in an internal audit function
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office packages

Reporting into the Quality, Fleet & Business Support Manager, the Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits in accordance with procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards.

You will work with all departments to identify, lead, support and maintain continuous improvements through an internal audit program and ad-hoc projects.

You will conduct audits (desk-based or on client sites) in accordance with the relevant ISO management system standard and will provide specific technical support to expand the company’s capabilities to offer valued services to customers.

You will need to maintain a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships, ongoing business development and complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business, providing accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse the process of the company
  • Identify risk within business practices and evaluating the controls put in place to counter these
  • Planning and executing internal audits, reviewing audit data, interviewing, and consulting employees and examining business operations
  • Improve business performance through risk management, control and identifying opportunities for improvement (efficiency and efficacy)
  • AD-HOC project-based work
  • Stakeholder management across all levels and departments
  • To support maintenance of certifications and standards
  • Prepare reports of audit findings and make recommendations to the business
  • Carry out presentations to management
