  • Ability to deliver operational excellence combined with sound commercial reasoning

We have just entered the third year of an ambitious five year strategic plan.  A core part of our plan for year 3 is to expand our range of services to both existing and new customers, and provide a greater variety of work to our people whilst taking advantage of our organisational model.

We have identified a new, significant service opportunity and are now looking for an experienced project manager to develop the proposition and take it to market.  We anticipate that this will be a nine month project and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

We expect the role to be needed for around 9 months.  However, as our business continues to grow, we expect to undertake additional commercial projects, so there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.

The Project Manager will create, lead, and manage a small project team that will successfully develop and take the new service proposition to market.  It will include:

  • Validate the opportunity; the size of the market, our target customer base, their needs, and how we can differentiate ourselves from the competition
  • Create and deliver a clear project plan, with milestone objectives, within an agreed budget
  • Create an agreed business plan that takes the project from development through to launch, followed by growth through a 3 year period
  • Determine the optimal route to market, and ensure that we are able to launch and develop our offering and be positioned as a market leader
  • Determine the resources required to launch and deliver the new offering (existing and new). Identify development needs from within the existing staff base, and any external resourcing needs.  Oversee the delivery of the resourcing requirements
  • Determine and oversee the implementation of an effective marketing and pricing strategy that will attract and convert customers, and achieve required margins
  • Transition the project from concept to BAU to ensure continuity and long term success
  • Report to the Board on progress at predetermined intervals

The ideal candidate will be detail orientated with a strong professional attitude.  They will be down to earth, resilient, delivery-focused, fast-paced, collaborative and able to work as part of a team.
