Food is safe and what it says it is

We operate an all-embracing quality assurance system that covers all aspects of our operation. This is focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled. Our focus, and our overriding priority at all levels, is that, ‘food is safe and what it says it is’.

Title

Quality Assurance

Eville & Jones has in place a fully integrated quality management system (QMS) designed to deliver the overall quality outcome

Our quality assurance system is underpinned by a fully documented and integrated QMS. This clearly defines our activities and processes in detailed systems and procedures, with all the appropriate quality ‘controls’ that would be expected of a sophisticated and well-developed quality framework.

We have used the framework of recognised international standards to structure our approach to a quality service delivery outcome as we feel that this is the most logical way of building a quality system, and gives us and other stakeholders complete assurance in the robustness of the systems by virtue of external accreditation.

Investors In People Gold

We achieved IIP status in 1999. We then successfully received accreditation to the then ‘Recruitment and Selection’ and ‘Leadership and Management’ models before achieving IIP Silver under the revised IIP framework.

In 2018 we achieved IIP Gold status. This demonstrates that we are in the top 13% of UK IIP accredited employers for compliance with the IIP indicators. This benefits customers by increasing retention (and thus increasing front-line staff capability), providing further reassurance of the ethical employer status of its suppliers, and protect against reputational damage.

Living Wage

The Living Wage Foundation offers accreditation to employers that pay the Living Wage.  Living Wage is not the Government’s statutory minimum.  It is a voluntary hourly rate, set independently and updated annually and is calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK. We have also undertaken a full legal review of our employment practices.

Both of these mean that FSA is assured that Eville & Jones is an ethical and legally compliant employer, and it will not face any criticism or reputational damage in any of our employment activities.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber-attacks. Although Eville & Jones are certified to ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems), which covers all aspects of information security management, we feel that this scheme is a useful complement to ISO 27001.

Clearly, information security is an issue that can create huge legal and reputational damage, as well as disrupting services, if the necessary safeguards and controls do not exist. We have held Cyber Essentials since before the start of the current contract and have recently achieved Cyber Essential Plus which includes an external vulnerability scan and is awarded by an external accreditation body.
