E&J Pet Care have been afforded an exciting opportunity to provide a veterinary presence at Manchester & District Cat Club’s upcoming Cat Show.

Our MRCVS Veterinarian Raquel Madureira will attend the cat show on 24^th October, where she will be present to carry out any health checks cats may need, and offer support and advise should any welfare concerns arise at the event. Having a vet present at the cat show allows the organisers to access professional veterinary advice during the event and helps them to respond appropriately should a cat fall unwell or need attention.

The day will focus on the cats attending the show. Raquel will be available to assess cats referred for a check, and explain any concerns to the relevant people, and then advise on appropriate next steps. It’s important to note that the veterinary presence at the cat show is not a substitute for a cat’s usual veterinary care – any ongoing illness or treatment should be discussed with the cat’s own vet.

The focus of these events is the cats attending the cat show. When cats are referred for a check, the vet will be available to assess them, explain any concerns to the relevant people and advise on appropriate next steps. This is something to go alongside a cat’s usual veterinary care, don’t replace it – any ongoing illness or treatment should be discussed with the cat’s own vet.

E&J Pet Care will also have a stall at the cat show, providing a useful opportunity to promote responsible cat ownership and raise awareness for the services offered by E&J Pet Care in Jollyes clinics in the area – this includes our pet travel services, supporting pet owners through the process of obtaining Animal Health Certificates amongst other requirements for travelling abroad with their pet. A veterinary presence ensures that the health and welfare of cats is central to the event, and promotes a safer environment for the cat show to take place in.

We’re really excited about this opportunity to introduce E&J Pet Care to a wider audience and encourage cat owners to utilise the services we provide to ensure the safety and good health of their cats.

The cat show will take place on 24^th October at Leigh Leisure Centre. You can find out more about our pet care services here: https://eandj.co.uk/ejpetcare/
