These portal services can be provided on a short or long-term basis and the service type can be closely tailored to meet the requirements of individual customers, whether a Competent Authority, or a private industry client.

In addition to providing Official Controls, E&J is also able to deliver training and consultancy in this field within a large range of specific areas, from border inspection post design through to quality system establishment and enablement.

Animal Welfare Licensing

E&J's MRCVS-registered veterinarians specialise in delivering comprehensive animal welfare licensing inspection services. We support local authorities in fulfilling their obligations under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, with a commitment to promoting animal welfare and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Dead Wild Bird Surveillance Collection Service

Certain wild bird diseases are a danger to other wildlife and some such as avian flu can also threaten our health. E&J is contracted by Defra to collect small samples of some dead wild birds for post mortem inspection and testing at official veterinary laboratories. You can help by reporting any sightings of dead birds via the online form at Gov.uk
