Love Your Pet Day is an opportunity to recognise the important role pets play in our lives and to reflect on the responsibility that comes with owning them. Love Your Pet Day is celebrated nationally, and it encourages pet owners to consider not only the companionship that animals provide, but also the standard of care needed to look after their health and wellbeing.
Caring for pets involves preventative care, and access to professional support when needed. At E&J, we work with pet owners across the UK to help ensure animals receive the care they require. For Love Your Pet Day 2026, we wanted to highlight the ways our pet care services help owners support their pets. Our pet care services are designed to support animals at all stages of life, whether an owner is managing a pet’s routine health needs, or looking to give them a compassionate end, access to our reliable guidance can make a significant difference. Through our services, we aim to support responsible pet ownership and promote consistent standards of care.
Small Animal Clinics
Through our Small Animal Clinics, E&J helps to protect pets from the risk of disease at Jollyes Pet Superstores across the UK. Our dedicated veterinary professionals deliver a range of clinical services at Jollyes Community Pet Clinics, including microchipping, routine vaccinations, boosters, and preventative treatments. Vaccination services are available for dogs, cats, and rabbits, covering initial and follow-up vaccinations, annual boosters, Kennel Cough, Leukaemia, Myxomatosis, and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD), as well as vaccinations for life. We also provide microchipping for all small animals, with identification numbers securely logged, alongside flea and worming treatments available at customer request.
Pet Travel
Our Pet Travel Services are designed to make travelling abroad with your pet as simple and stress-free as possible. Our experienced veterinarians provide a full range of services, including Animal Health Certificates (AHCs) for travel to the EU, Switzerland and Norway, Pet Export Health Certificates (EHCs) for destinations outside the EU, Fit to Travel certificates which are required by some airlines for long-haul journeys, and specialist support for pet travel to Australia. We help ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant, from verifying microchips and rabies vaccinations to completing worming treatments and identity checks where required. Certificates can be ordered online and collected from your local Jollyes store, with appointments typically taking around 15 minutes. For more complex destinations such as Australia, where planning well in advance is essential, our OV66-authorised vets can guide you through rabies blood tests, official identity checks and submissions to the relevant authorities, supporting you every step of the way so you and your pet can travel with confidence.
Home Pet Euthanasia
We also offer Home Pet Euthanasia, allowing owners to say goodbye to their pet in a familiar environment, helping to reduce stress for both pets and their families. This can be particularly beneficial for animals who find veterinary visits distressing. Being at home allows owners to remain close to their pet throughout the process, offering comfort in surroundings. It also provides privacy, avoids waiting rooms, and allows other pets to be present if appropriate, which may help reduce confusion afterwards.
Celebrating Love Your Pet Day
To mark Love Your Pet Day 2026, we also wanted to recognise the role pets play in the lives of our colleagues. Many of our E&J colleagues are pet owners themselves, bringing personal understanding as well as professional expertise to their roles. We’re pleased to be able to celebrate these connections, while reinforcing the importance of responsible care.
We’re pleased to be able to share these photos from some of our E&J colleagues:
