Working in the UK during a heatwave is an uncomfortable experience for everyone. But our new Meat Hygiene Inspectors have taken it all in their stride. They have been busy learning all about our company, our culture, our people, and our values. Plus, they have begun their first steps towards a rewarding career, completing their theoretical training with boundless enthusiasm, determination, and drive.

For our African recruits, pictured outside our Leeds office alongside our Director of People, Sophie Willis, it was a face-to-face induction with covid precautions in place. Meanwhile for our new Turkish hires it was an entirely virtual affair, with our 6 new starters dialling in from the comfort of their managed quarantine hotel rooms.

Commenting on one of our busiest and hottest induction weeks on record, Sophie said: “I firmly believe that our people are our success. We regularly recruit internationally and are immensely proud to employ veterinary professionals from across the globe. This latest cohort have a fantastic attitude and high levels of motivation. I wish them all the best in their new roles, and I look forward to hearing about their achievements in the future.”
