Working at Eville & Jones is not just a job – it’s a career.

We have a great variety of roles for you to climb the ladder as a veterinary professional – and no person embodies these opportunities for progression better than Andrei Ungureanu.

Andrei first joined the team as a Meat Hygiene Inspector in 2016. Since then, his commitment has paved the way for him to progress through various roles to recently become a Technical Manager. And with our ambitious sights set on further growth, there are many opportunities for you to follow the same path.

Andrei says it was our “robust platform for professional growth,” as well as the comprehensive training programs which resonated with his career aspirations and first made him want to join our growing team.

He adds: “The fulfilment I get from protecting public health and ensuring animal welfare is a testament to the significance and enjoyment embedded in our roles.

“At E&J, you’re immersed in a workplace brimming with diversity, where every day is a chance to interact with individuals from varied cultural backgrounds.

“Our company fosters a culture that embodies responsibility, integrity and a collective aim to safeguard the food chain and to protect animal welfare. And as E&J is not just a workplace, it’s a ladder of growth, my tenure here has been a trajectory of continuous growth and learning.

“Beyond career progression, E&J is a hub of learning and expertise, providing a conducive environment for veterinarians to accrue valuable competencies, particularly if they are looking to advance their careers in epidemiology, public health, animal health, food safety, auditing and certification, among others.

“I would wholeheartedly recommend E&J to individuals keen on making a tangible impact in public health, food safety and animal welfare. The conducive learning environment, coupled with the significant work we undertake, makes it an ideal platform for a fulfilling and progressive career.”

We’ve launched thousands of successful careers in the UK and worldwide – driven by our dedication to support new graduates to build their futures, while helping experienced veterinarians develop rewarding pathways within the food safety sector.

As our Chief Executive, Charles Hartwell, explains, we’ve invested heavily in building a team of experts with a focus on providing technical, operational, and personal support and development.  “It has been a focus over my tenure to develop a compelling proposition at E&J that attracts and retains outstanding people,” he says.

“Not only does this include great salaries and benefits, but a fantastic culture, variety of work and career opportunities.”

We have a range of vacancies across the UK, including hybrid working across multiple roles and a great work-life balance with hours to suit lifestyles.
